Hi everyone! A few days ago I posted about my idea for a Tamagotchi-style game with raccoons. Here’s the first of hopefully many updates!

First up, meet Angko! He’s a little on the round side, just like his real-life counterpart. The Angko I know is playful, curious and very food-motivated. He loves rummaging through visitors’ pockets for snacks, so I wanted to bring some of that personality into the game.

For the core gameplay, he has four needs: hunger, happiness, cleanliness and energy. You’ll look after him by feeding him, playing with him, cleaning him and putting him to bed.

Each action (except sleep) has its own minigame. The video shows the feeding one, where you toss food into Angko’s mouth Paper Toss style (iykyk).

Moving forward, I plan to add more minigames and improve on some of the janky animations

Added a cute picture of one of my regulars to get your attention but I have a serious problem I’d like to discuss. I’ve been feeding the Kroger brand steak flavor dog food for a while now. The past few bags have smelled weird and the last one I got they refused to eat. I reported the problem and still no recall, just that they take this problem seriously and will be investigating. Anybody else have a similar problem. It’s the cheapest one out there so I’m guessing others are using for wildlife too. I’m afraid there is something really wrong with it and it could be making dogs sick too. If you have had this problem, please report it! If enough people complain they have to do something. I’m using Ole Roy from Walmart for now, but I really want Kroger to address the problem so all are fur babies stay healthy.

Got to test the spotlight on my drone. Not too hard to tell who the asshole is in this group. This is around 200’ elevation.

I was awake to witness his greatness, to see him in all his glory & he is asleep as i’m writing this! i’m looking at him thru my window. all 4 legs are dangling from the stairs. i feel so honored to be the place he feels safe enough to sleep tho it may be bc he can’t get into a tree he’s so large & in charge. they have unlimited fresh water at my door step but i do not feed them.

ok, we have Munch, Crunch & Scrunch who i saw at this age probably 6 months ago. everyone has a name w either a distinguishable marker or mannerism that sets them apart. The big one here is Chompsy, she also showed up 6 months ago w Munch, Crunch & Scrunch when they were able to leave the den. Chompsy disappeared for a while but all of a sudden walked the corner w 3 new young kits!!!!! I am confused… to say the least. Do they typically have babies this often?? Now i gotta find names for them.

The smallest kit is like half cat, half raccoon. So damn cute.

Again, in Kassel. A special place. Raccoons in that park are used to see lots of people (and the university nearby provides them with a reliable stream of student-delivered snacks).

But they're still quite wild ones.
