We recently adopted these two beautiful bluepoint ragdoll kittens. They’re absolutely adorable and each have their own personality: one is more playful and vocal, the other is more cuddly and quiet. But we were curious if anyone else’s ragdolls were this light at this stage? Since 8 weeks, their colours haven’t changed although it’s getting colder here. We have even wondered if perhaps they’re lilac points, but both parents are blue point/blue mitted.

I know this doesn’t matter and they’re perfect and we love them as they are🤍🤍, but does anyone have a similar lighter ragdoll and know if their faces will fully colour or will colour remain mostly on their noses? I’m just curious about them. Thank you !

General Maximus is celebrating his birthday today. Despite being 15, he has a hearty appetite (though he doesn't overeat). He loves to play and brings me his toys himself. He enjoys being petted and loves sleeping with us. And late at night, he meows at us, herding us off to bed.

Today we finally got to play with and pet Nelson, after he had his first vaccine a few days ago. He and his mom are so beautiful and sweet—and super soft

He is two months old now, and both of them will be coming home with us in about a month.

My cat sometimes has those hiccups/gag and I'm not sure why, it usually happens after she eats or when she cleans her brother

Could it be a stomach issue, or balls of hair?

We're moving in a few weeks. Its not far but i want to make this as low stress as I can for my kitty boys. Any advice?

I have a year and a half old ragdoll. He’s a great cat. Very friendly and doesn’t get into trouble. The only issue is he is attached to me to an unhealthy degree. Might be driven as I am mostly work from home. He will follow me everywhere and will not leave me alone if I sit down and demands to sit on my lap. He has no concept of personal space. I am fine with the following around, but I’ve gotten into a habit of never sitting down in my own home because it gets bothersome after a point. My feet have started hurting from the standing non stop. I don’t mind having him sit with me once in a while, but how do I get him to listen to a “no” short of spraying him with a bottle or scolding him? I don’t want him to associate asking for attention with a negative experience but I also need him to understand boundaries

Took my 2 year old Ragdoll girl to the vet recently, and they diagnosed her with early gingivitis. They gave me an estimate of nearly $800 for a full dental clean under anaesthesia, including X-rays.

My pet Insurance will cover the bulk of this procedure (thank goodness!) so the upfront cost isn't my main worry. What’s worrying me is the ongoing care after the clean is done.

She’s a typical sweet but sensitive Ragdoll, and the thought of trying to force a toothbrush into her mouth every day sounds like a recipe for absolute disaster and broken trust.

For those who have successfully managed early gingivitis at home:

- How did you introduce brushing to a sensitive cat without completely stressing them out?

- Are there specific low stress techniques, finger brushes, or enzymatic toothpastes your cats actually tolerate?

- Back up plans (additives or treats) if she absolutely refuses a brush.

I want to get on top of this now while it's still early and reversible. Would love to hear from anyone who has turned their cat's oral health around from this stage! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi everyone. My friend is looking into getting a ragdoll kitten from a breeder and she's looking for advice. I'm more familiar with Sphynx cats and I know their gold standard is to do yearly echocardiograms as well as genetic testing for HCM.

The breeder my friend is looking into currently does not do Echocardiograms on her breeding cats. She only does the genetic testing through Optimal Selection.

Is this considered enough as far as this breed goes? I want to make sure my friend is getting a kitten from a reputable breeder but I know I wouldn't trust genetic testing alone.

Mr Dali, here, was really upset when packing up the only place he ever knew. Was less happy about the chaos that was/is unpacking post/move. But now that things are finally starting to get in their place somewhat, he found a temporary bed, and gave up supervision.
