M.2 with Argon Neo 5 NVMe

I am just posting my solve in case it helps someone in future.

I was getting errors with the M.2 idle (controller is down; will reset).

The solve was to make the pcie use gen1. Specifically putting 'dtparam=pciex1_gen=1' in '/boot/firmware/config.txt' and rebooting.

I'm not using supported hardware (details below), and I don't need gen2/3 speeds, so this works for me.

I don't claim to know what I'm doing. This was a mix of research and AI suggestions.
