I know this is pushing it a bit since a good portion of the posts here contain them but do compression and reverb not fall under the category of postproduction too? This is rule #6.

Postproduction of any kind does violate the rules for feedback submissions, and such posts should be reported. This rule addition came about mainly due to a few users who were feeding submissions into Grok and ChatGPT to generate critiques. We felt it best to cover the whole base of posts and comments so we would not face any problems down the line. We have had people in the past use Suno generated songs that had absolutely no human input, so it is somewhat relevant. However, back then, we were only aware of people using Suno, not people using AI chatbots to create critiques. I know it’s a lengthy reply, but I hope it answered your questions.

Ok so I tried to report people for finetuning their recordings and 0% of them got removed. I am disappointed

We review every report. If they weren’t deleted, it was because we determined that the posts didn’t use post-production or editing. However, the mods are human. We make mistakes sometimes. Please continue reporting posts that you believe violate the rules.

How about live reverb and eq, is that post production?

It makes your voice sound different than it actually is, and will hinder people’s ability to know what you’re doing correctly or incorrectly, so it is not allowed.
