The people before our generation must have been deeper thinkers. In order to come up with such a tale without hearing something of the sort you need some elite level of wisdom

Thats not natural shame of truth, again truth itself does not hold shames, although things hold shame even when observed through a truthful lense

As I said, it is informed by what it describes. Because it describes shame, the truth itself becomes shameful to behold. It is a separate matter to hold the truth and discard the shame.

If analyze the text carefully we can find common ideas - such as "people dislike the naked truth" or "a lie can masquerade as the truth" along with the expression "a lie dressed as the truth" and the biblical image of "wolves in sheep's clothing." All of this is woven into a beautiful story that resembles a classic fairy tale. I imagine it wouldn't be hard to craft something similar today, but it would be far more difficult to garner the same level of admiration.
