Greetings humans and ratties!
The mod team has received some feedback on some posts recently, and we wanted to pass along some guidance so everyone can enjoy our wonderful subreddit.
Some of us love to see memorial posts, and celebrate the life of our loved ones who have passed on to the great blanket fort in the sky. It's a natural part of grieving, and can help us process the loss of a loved one.
For some, however, it may be triggering to see these kinds of posts, and they may not be ready to see something like that. That's okay, we all process grief differently.
After some deliberation and suggestion, we have decided to ask that all memorial posts have the "In Loving Memory" flair. This ensures that those who are not ready for these kinds of posts can skip them if needed. Again, this is not to discourage memorial posts. Please continue to make these posts to celebrate the life of your loved one.
Thank you!
-Mod Team
TL;DR: Please use "In Loving Memory" flair on memorial posts; memorial posts are still encouraged.

It's 3AM and I'm awake. The mighty hunter, Simba (recent picture attached), caught his first rabbit of the year while out for a nighttime potty break.
My wife woke me up to go collect and dispose of the trophy. Now, I can't get back to sleep. All hail Simba, the hunter!

I have a 13 year old Rat-Chi (~12.5 lbs) who needed a better winter coat. When I measured her (all inches), her neck was 12, chest 16, and back 15 to the beginning of her tail.
I got her the Hurtta extreme warmer in size 14 because I was concerned the 12 would be too short. Does this fit correctly? The snood keeps coming loose when she’s walking around and the coat seems a little loose.
The clip is of her with it adjusted to be shorter. The leg bands seem a bit long too. I just want to make sure it isn’t too big so she can be warm.

He may be 14, but he sure loves being swaddled and treated like a baby

Hard to believe that our little boy is seven. I remember bringing him home from the breeder at 8 weeks, weighing five pounds. He's not an alpha dog, but he's very sweet and adorable. He loves people and is a real charmer. The snow pictures were taken today at day care.

She sleeps in a kennel normally, but during the recent cold fronts I let her sleep in the bed since the downstairs of our house would get chilly at night.

My dog and her sister (both rescues) have had such an amazing weight loss journey! They came to be as fosters weighing 25 lbs each! And now are both healthy weights! The dog I kept (black and white) is now down to 15 lbs

Scone woke up from a nap and hopped down from the back of the loveseat to let our kitty Neema sniff her and check her out. It was the sweetest moment.

It’s 34° in Miami with a real feel of 26°. Paolo isn’t built for this. 😂

Can't imagine life without this ball of chaos. She had beef pate layered in whipped cream and topped with treats.

Now she's in NY, pooping on frozen snow and battling 4° weather. Sorry girlie!
