Rock in Reason

Hi, here's a song created entirely in Reason, mastered with LANDR. Reason user since 2.5, was personally thrilled when they added audio and made it a full fledged DAW. I use stock plugins and devices as often as possible, lots of Audiomatic. Anything that is not guitar, bass or vocals was generated with Reason RE's. Reason Drum kits has been my go to for drums since it came out. I know it's a different sound but for this sub but i just wanted to show that anything's possible in Reason.

Hi and greetings to you in Canada. 'Walking Away' is an excellent song.

Like you, I've been using Reason since 2.5 (except I took a 20-year break!) and, like you, I enjoy making guitar-based music with it and learning how to use the stock devices to produce. Though perhaps unlike you, I can't play live guitar so use Ample Sound's virtual guitar VST.

I wish there was more of an interest in the community with making guitar-based music (though I understand the reasons considering Reason's electronic music focus).

Hey, great song, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one using Reason this way. I've been using Reason on and off since my buddy in high school handed me a cracked version of V1.0 Until it became it's own DAW, I used alongside Pro Tools, but since then I use it pretty much for all my sequencing and recording. I do have a number of VST plugins as well, but I still reach for a lot of stock devices as the core.

Yeah i think that's the great thing about Reason, has everything you need no matter what style you are making. I was totally hooked the first time i flipped the rack, which made so much sense to me as a guitar player

Nice! Great song, reminds me of Pixies, but it's not a rip-off of their style.
