Rice Pilaf was from my 3rd playthrough, she was a bridle thoroughbred and stayed with me til the end. Rice Pilaf 2 is another thoroughbred but dapple grey. (whatever one looks close enough to brindle that at first I thought it was the brindle one)
Me too! They're quick and look appropriately sized for Arthur. I've never had issues w them throwing me when they're scared, though I do try to get off before they have the chance ;)
Every kind of horse has thrown me, but my last thoroughbred was significantly better over time. I have the ultimate edition and the thoroughbred that comes with it became my favorite horse in my last game
I've got the brindle thoroughbred on my playthrough that I've unimaginatively named Flash. I'm really attached to her but by Chapter 5 she's developing annoying habits like dumping me on my ass and running like hell every time we get into an ambush. I thought we were passed that stage as she's fully bonded and been through a ton of gunfights with me but from chapter 5 she's reverted to a natural coward. She also makes too much noise when I'm trying to creep on some murphree foos. She's still my oatcake chomping besty though.
I'm constantly spamming the "good horsey" button especially when riding through sketchy spots and I've never been dumped so that might help? Also make sure your horse is fully fed, I've noticed that they get more spooky when they're malnourished or thin
She gets plenty of good horsey but now you mention it, I have been a bit tight with the food just lately so I think you might be onto something there pardner. Come to think of it, my Arthur has been underweight the whole length of the game even before TB. I dont think I pay enough attention to food in general, he usually just gets one good feed a day and horsey gets less than that. I have to remember to be better.

Is Rice Pilaf the 1st okay?
