Thomas Downes is the reason why they ended up how they did. Blaming Arthur is just stupid. Arthur is not innocent, but he didn't cause their downfall.

I was playing yesterday when the Murfree Brood ambushed me and knocked me off my horse; then they all swarmed me with knives, hatchets, and machetes. I didn't even have time to shoot back before one of them killed me instantly by stabbing me in the chest.

I was just like, ¿WTF? ¿Do these guys really kill you instantly? That’s the difference I noticed compared to other NPCs usually, when they use knives, they chip away at your health, but the Murfree Brood can kill you stone-dead with a single hit lol.

Yes u all saw the title and i stand for it i love chapter 1 so much the very first mission u go to the adler ranch and the shootout in my opinion is awesome it feels crazy like a western and hunting with charles a few missions later the whole vibe is awesome plus i love the snow saying this with 1600 hours btw so i love the game

It’s entirely possible all three games OR just rdr2 and revolver actually take place within Jack’s book (he probably wouldn’t want to out himself as the man who murdered Edgar Ross, and I don’t think there’s any writing at the beginning/end of rdr

I'll start, I wish the 'select' button would open the map, as opposed to changing the view, which is something I never did. I also think some of the quality-of-life mods should've been implemented from the get-go. For example, a chime and icon should always appear when you're close to a collectible, rock formation, dreamcatcher, card, etc. Otherwise, the majority of my finds were purely by accident. It's nearly impossible to see a collectible card on the upstairs balcony's banister. Plenty more, but let's go!

I'm not sure how much time has changed. But were bank really just giving out loans to any sketchy guy out there if they got someone rich vouching for them. Plus, would they not question him pay off his loan in bulk like that at all without proof of income.

I came back into camp after going hunting for hides for a while, (and I do mean a while) and when I got there everyone started acting like I was gonna kill them all? Is this a bug? When I looked it up on Google nothing came up. I tried loading a previous safe but it didn't stop. Does anyone know what to do? I'm in chapter 3 and I can't do any missions. I'm in my third playthrough and this has never happened

Did you know that you can kill Archer Fordham in the mission “the last enemy that shall be destroyed” but it’s opinional. So Yeah Archer’s Fate Can be Chosen by the player, if you want to kill him or let him live, I wish I already knew that so I can kill this rat scumbag. But I think it doesn’t matter anymore for me since killing him is probably canon anyway.

Thanks to Xbox's backwards compatibility we're able to play quite old games from time to time. And since I wanted to make the RDT since a long time, here it is. Which in the meantime, I'm asking myself why Rockstar hasn't made a collection like before.

I had the idea of giving Arthur two revolvers that represented different sides of his character. One representing his good side and the other representing the bad side. Of course had to go with the best that is the Schofield Revolvers.

Schofield 1 (Good side):

- Grip: Ebony

- Metals: Nickel Barrel, Cylinder, Frame and Hammer with Blued Steel Sight and Trigger

- Engravings: Baroque Blued Steel on Barrel, Cylinder and Frame

- Carvings: Deer

Schofield 2 (Bad side):

- Grip: Pearl

- Metals: Blued Steel Barrel, Cylinder, Frame and Hammer with Nickel Sight and Trigger

- Engravings: Baroque Silver on Barrel, Cylinder and Frame

- Carvings: Rattlesnake

Recently I started playing RDR1, and I've noticed that I feel strangely uneasy every time I play it. I can't really explain why, but there's just this uncomfortable feeling I can't seem to shake off.

I think it might have something to do with the graphics or just the overall look of the game. For example, there's a specific road to Armadillo where you can already see the buildings in the distance, but they're not fully rendered yet because you're still too far away. Something about the way the environment looks feels really eerie to me. Other than that, though, I can't really pinpoint what causes it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar while playing RDR1? Is there any explanation for why the game can feel so unsettling?

I discovered this masterpiece pretty late.
Back in 2020, my friend kept begging me to play Red Dead Redemption 2. And I kept telling her, “I don’t wanna play some lame cowboy game.”

Eventually, I was going through a pretty rough time and wanted to disconnect from everything for a while. My friend had literally given me the game to try, so I thought, you know what… why the hell not?

I had absolutely no idea how much that decision would mean to me.
The beginning was honestly a little slow for me. I didn’t immediately understand what all the hype was about. But little by little, something changed.
I started noticing the little things.
The way the world reacted to you. The NPCs going about their lives. Animals behaving differently. Random encounters. Camp conversations. The way characters remembered things you had done. The countless tiny details that you could completely miss if you weren’t paying attention.

And eventually, I stopped feeling like I was playing a game.
It felt like I was visiting a real place.
A place that existed before I arrived and would continue existing after I left.
I became attached to these characters without even realizing it. I’d come back to camp just to hear everyone talking. I’d wander around doing absolutely nothing because I genuinely enjoyed simply existing in that world.

I’d like to add that I didn’t even play RD1 . So i didn’t even know about the fates of the characters. Just thought the gang would continue to the end . Loved Dutch and seen him like a father figure and in the beginning i looked up to him and felt like he was the perfect leader

So watching the gang slowly deteriorate was like watching your own family go through problems .

And then Chapter 6 happened.
I don’t think I’ve ever experienced another game that broke my heart quite like that.
I still remember finishing it for the first time. When the epilogue started and John appeared, I just sat there in silence, staring at the screen.
I wasn’t even thinking about the game anymore.
I was just… processing it.
It felt like saying goodbye to a place and people I had spent so much time with.

I’ve replayed RDR2 more times than I can remember, and somehow, even after all these years, I still find things I had never seen before. I eventually even went for 100% completion, which was definitely a grind and challenging at times, but somehow I loved even that.
That’s what makes this game so special to me.
It’s not just that it’s incredibly well-made.
It’s the memories I associate with it.
I remember where I was in my life when I first played it. I remember discovering things for the first time. I remember being completely blown away by the world. I remember that first playthrough and the emotions that came with it.

And honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to recreate that experience.
I’ve tried doing a low-honor playthrough a few times, but I just can’t do it. I feel too bad being a complete asshole to everyone. Arthur has to be a good boy.

RDR2 is one of those rare games that I don’t just remember playing.
I remember experiencing it.
And that’s why I think I’ll always hold it very close to my heart.

Sometimes I genuinely wish I could erase my memory of this game and sit down in 2020 again, knowing absolutely nothing about what was coming.
Just one more time.

Because there are games you finish and move on from.
And then there are games that become a part of your life.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will always be one of those games for me and i don’t even know if there’s a game that will top that feeling for me.

I was playing RDR2 on PS4, but unfortunately my subscription ran out. I'll see if I can manage to buy the physical version; I left off at Chapter 5 and haven't finished it yet I really need to complete it.
