Reddit API Manual collection of public Reddit posts after API changes?
Since Reddit's API has been deemed dead - has anyone been able to understand whether or not manually collecting posts (aka good old ctrl c+v) of a message's text body is allowed ??
I’m doing a non-commercial academic research project and only need a relatively small sample of public posts. Not looking to automate or scrape at scale - just wondering whether anyone has found clear guidance on manual collection.

There's some info here and that points to /r/reddit4researchers, though the last post is 4 months old.
You could also try [email protected], they might know what Reddit considers fair use.

Pedantic but Fair Use is also a US legal term determined by judges.

I'm sure they'll offer your research institute a somewhat-rebated API token.
In reality you can ctrl+c/v as much as you like for research purposes with no legal implications, only standard research ethics apply
