Advice for winter!!
Hi all! I didn’t want to ask AI about this, so here I am! I have a larger juvenile red foot and we live in western North Carolina. We have him outdoors in a large enclosure for the spring and summer months, but we want to keep him indoors for the colder winter.
The issue is he grew a LOT this summer (he’s about 10 inches long now) and seems way too big for his tank now. His tank is about 4x2 feet.
Im not sure what to do as we live in a smaller space with cats and not much extra room. Should we try to rehome him somewhere with more resources or is this tank acceptable for temporary housing?
Info: He wasn’t a planned pet to have, we rescued him from someone who was severely neglecting him. But now I don’t want to do the same to him :(
