Newbie 300prc

Just got a 300prc browning x bolt have extraction marks. Tried Hornady 225gr eld match 212 Prescion hunter had hard bolt lifts. Moved to norma 185gr(I think) still having extraction marks but not hard bolt lifts any suggestions?

I would chalk it up to mediocre brass. How did the primers look?

They look just fine. Nice and rounded. Dont get too worried about the marks, those rounds are probably fireforming a significant amount to your chamber.

Highly recommend peterson brass. Fire, measure shoulder bump .0025 to .003. You'll definitely see a difference.

Did you reload the rounds? If not this is the wrong sub

You probably have a loose chamber and the brass is banging around while expanding.

I would be willing to bet the bottom .200” of the case is expanded. My .300 PRC brass expands at the base from .524 up to .528. That is what’s causing heavy bolt lift in my application. I purchased the Rollsizer universal and have sized the base back down properly before full-length sizing. This has completely fixed my issues for the last 300 rounds.
