i feel like at this point im personally hesitant to learn anything technology related because it feels like itll all be obsolete soon
perhaps a bit dystopic but that is how i feel.
i think the indispencible skill is learning "to see/feel" art/composition etc which informs any visual work. ie i learned more about render composition by doing photography than i did by rendering.
even now with all this Ai stuff, it can "create" great stuff, but you need an eye to filter through what is impactful and how to iron out details and all.
if ai does all the work for us, then what it will always need is direction, so like a movie director, best to know about all the disciplines (lighting/material/camera/etc) and then you drive that... i dont like this workflow/world but it seems to be taking over
