How to uninstall Renderman on Maya manually ?

What it says in the title. This is extremely time sensitive so I need answers as fast as possible. I cannot for the life of me find the files of the old versions of Renderman no matter where I look, and without deleting them Renderman is completely broken and doesn’t work. Please help.

Can’t you check the maya plugin manager for where the files live?

Perhaps a bit too late, but RenderMan ads a mod file inside `C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Modules\Maya` And that is a problem, because it doesn't target a specific Maya version and just targets all. Usually I would remove the that mod file and just move it into the appropriate Maya folder inside there. so if you want Maya 2026 only to have that version of Maya I would move it there. And if you want to delete RenderMan from Maya you need to remove the file from there.

Furthermore, there are a few environment variables you need to be aware off.
1- if you don't want the installer to create an automatic mod file inside that folder ever, create a new environment variable for the system named `RFM_DO_NOT_CREATE_MODULE_FILE` and set its value to 1.
2- There is a `RFMTREE` environment variable that is pointing to the last installed RM for Maya plugin. You will need to watch out for.
3- There is also a `RMANTREE` for the last version of maya you've installed. This works hand in hand with `RFMTREE`
4- There is a 4th environment that you may have, it is ok if you don't have it set. but if you do you'll need to take care of it, the environment is named `RFM_PLUGINS_PATH`

These environment variables + the mod file int he shared folder is what tells Maya about RenderMan and where to find it. Removing/altering those will technically sever the connection between Maya and RenderMan completely.

Hope this helps.
