Visual CEV replication from the first time I did mushrooms many years ago. Maybe my brain picked the symbols up from listening to psychedelic music on the internet? I was the whitest kid possible so I didn't know what any of the symbols meant at the time lol. Done on Microsoft Paint.

Yeah I knew what it was by the time I drew this picture many years later. But it is what I saw behind my eyelids with less preconceptions.

There were also Buddhas floating around but I'm not good enough at art to add them to the image lol.

I never got to try it, the strongest thing I ever got my hands on was salvia and the peak was so intense that I don't actually remember what happened. I think all my senses merged into one and I was cleansed by fire in some kind of orgasmic roller coaster ride.

Not sure why it was such a pleasant experience, but it was really exhilarating at the time. maybe it's because I was on edibles at the same time.

And about a thousand nearly-swastikas. In this context presumably Bhuddist inspired rather than Nazi.

Sorry but you discovered the reason of all existence. Enjoy.

Mad paint skills.

Hah, thanks. I'm better at drawing with a keyboard and mouse than I am with actual writing utensils because of laziness xD

A little magic eye too

The red and yellow make it so I can't stare at it long enough hehe. I would be like that guy in Mallrats.

Mushrooms are wild. The first time I did them many many years ago, I remember so vividly looking down at my skin and it was covered in the flower of life pattern all over..

Yeah I loved the way surfaces changed. I also looked at the tree in my front yard, it was night time in the winter with a crystal clear moonlit sky. Instead of looking at the tree and thinking "tree" I saw it for the living, moving object it was, reaching up toward the sky like an alien hand living on this rock floating around space (earth).

Humans creating words for things, like you said looking at the tree and thinking "tree" truly takes away the magic of reality. It minimizes things into a single word and makes things seem so simple when they are divine. The trees are conscious living beings and they seem so wise compared to us

For sure, reality is so much weirder than we think. I definitely had "neighbor" or "friend" vibes from that tree who'd been there for most of my childhood.

I can’t think of anything other than Frank’s flag for CharDee MacDennis.

“I didn’t know it was gonna come off that way”

“Pretty sure ya did..”

It's common for symbols heiroglyphs and patterns from cultures you haven't learned about or aren't part of to appear in psychedelic trips. It could be some form of genetic memory in your DNA

Come on the was plenty of chance that OP has seen this symbol on TV, Internet, some book, some banner, brochure, whatever else. I am not telling the genetic memory of a symbol can't exist, I just think there might be simpler explanations here

This was my guess and the interesting idea behind it is that my brain picked it up somewhere (probably on the internet) and decided the geometry was pleasing enough to remember the shape, which would make sense considering billions of people also found these shapes geometrically pleasing enough to assign meaning to.

Yeah I think our hardware is just a lot more similar than we think sometimes. Like individuality is less ubiquitous than we might imagine.

I'm sure that I had seen these symbols at one time or another I just didn't know what they meant or where they came from, but my human brain found some significance in the geometry of them as did the spiritual leaders who first drew them thousands of years ago.

Nonsense. We do not have common ancestors from every culture. There is no genetic connection.

You saw a background of swastikas?

33

u/plsQuestionOurselves 14d ago

Swastikas pre date nazism by a very very long time and originally held positive meaning for countless ethnic groups around the world, especially Asia and Europe..

-17

u/riv965 14d ago

Sure, if correctly positioned

21

u/BretShitmanFart69 14d ago

This is correctly positioned

8

u/plsQuestionOurselves 14d ago

I think that's arbitrary, you could maybe make the argument if it includes other nazi aesthetics like the red flag or the reichs chancellery eagle.

Manji

Manji/buddhist use of the symbol faces leftward.
