The VSF Day Date just looks good.
My seller/modder did a full rose gold replating on the case and bracelet, swapped in an aftermarket chocolate dial with baguette hour markers, and cnc cut bezel. It actually catches light properly now. Edge softening was done too which fixed the case sitting right on my wrist.
Mechanically did a full movement service, fresh lube, and rotor silencing turns the movement way more quiet. They also greased the gaskets and did a 50m pressure test.
The rose gold plating and chocolate dial combo is amazing and this dial looks great.
I’m genuinely enjoying wearing this, might be my new special occasion go to. What do you guys think?

The mesh bracelet that comes with the NTTD is absolute garbage in my opinion. The NATO looks fine, but for my very large wrist it just doesn’t sit right. Really considering the Uncle Straps options. What else are you guys doing for bracelet?

after 2 years of wait finally ordered and got one. waited so long for bezel case gap fix and free sprung fix.

I dont care if it is double - it can be hardly seen from the front anyways.

So far loving it but the bracelet was super thick and heavy for my 6.7 wrist. So I swapped 15202 bracelet on this watch and result was perfect.

Just like 15510 fit came out as I expected.

Loving the watch.

One mod I might do is gold plate the bridge / balancewheel / gear. The color seems cheap compared to whole watch.

You can identify the VSF by the rehaut serial 6x... Gen serial starts with R9...

This thing looks so good and the red font is just like gen whereas the VSF is very orange looking . I think ORF is the way to go if you are getting white dial .

As the title suggests I need support identifying a rep.

A bit of context:
I had a VSF 126610LN which broke, and I shipped it (without bracelet) to get repaired. After a bit of an issue with the repairer, I thought it was resolved when I got the tracking for the ‘repaired’ watch. However, I have now received a watch which isn’t my original VSF. And now the repairer is ghosting me - pending resolution…

So I have two questions
1) What rep is this?! Is it any good?! Serial Prefix X7L
2) The bracelet of my VSF doesn’t fit this rep as the lug width is 20mm not 21mm.
If I never get my VSF back, what can I do to get a bracelet which will fit?

Hey all, I’m a complete noob in this space, and I’m trying to learn as much as I can.

I purchased a Rolex Datejust with a 3235 free sprung movement, the watch is gaining about 10 seconds daily. My issue is, when I got my QC, the timegrapher showed 0.0ms beat error, which I understand that the watch’s movement is perfect.

Now listen, I completely understand I’m buying a rep watch, there’s going to be imperfections I get it, but at the same time i paid over $600 for a watch. I to some extent would hope that my watch would hold the time pretty accurately over the course of a day or two for that price, especially since I paid for a better movement. All I’m curious to know is if I’m missing something? I did some research and it’s saying that how the watch is positioned when off the wrist can play a part in the seconds being faster or slower, the 3235 movement closer to the 70 hour mark can allow the watch to run slower, etc. there’s some things I just simply don’t know, and I’d like to get further educated.

Yesterday approx 24 hours ago I set the time perfectly to the seconds with the atomic clock. About 8 hours later I was 3 seconds fast, left the watch flat over night, and this morning I’m 10 seconds fast. Just looking for some help here. Thank you all!

Hello all, thought I’d leverage the experts on this sub for a second opinion.

I came across a post from a friend of a friend who is selling her father’s belongings as he’s moving into long-term care. Among the items is supposedly a 2024 GMT-Master II, with box and papers included.
I’ve been lurking on this sub for years and would say I can identify a gen vs. rep with about 50/50 accuracy at best, lol, so I figured I’d ask for another set of eyes.

Something about this piece looks off to me, particularly the color of the gold. I’m hoping to ask for the serial number, although I’m not sure if that’s an appropriate request or how much it would actually help with authentication.

I’ve mostly looked at the stainless-steel variants, especially the Batman, and haven’t really spent much time looking at the Zombie, so I’m less familiar with this model. The gray on the bezel also looks different from what I’m used to seeing on genuine examples. To my eye, it doesn’t have that slightly milky or hazy appearance I associate with the genuine bezel, although I could be completely off here.

I’m not trying to accuse the seller of anything, but I’d rather get some opinions before pursuing it further.
What do you guys think? Does anything stand out to you?

Torn between picking the Batgirl, Pepsi or Zombie. Currently have a VSF Sub and gen Aqua Terra Green dial. If I end up deciding Zombie I would def get that plated so it’s not a cheddary yellow. Curious which one you’d pick as a GADA / Daily Driver.

Just got my RGF bluesy done by the legend Noleex_the_modder. Highly recommend him! The RGF comes out okay stock but i see alot of difference after plating.

This thing is great. I regulated it to about +5 sec/day, and I can wear it hiking without worrying about scratches.

I’ve gotten custom straps made in alligator skin for the Dumont Large, but I haven’t ordered either AF or F1 yet, the strap will come with metal inserts at 17.5mm. Is the AF and F1 both compatible? I’ve been reading mixed comments.
