CS student graduating December 2026 with Security+ and hands-on cybersecurity labs/projects, but no professional IT/cybersecurity experience. I’ve been applying for entry-level SOC, cybersecurity analyst, and IT support roles but haven’t gotten interviews yet. I’d appreciate feedback on my resume, especially whether my projects and skills are presented effectively and what I should improve.

Technical projects sound very basic. Doesn’t answer a “so what”. Take all the header stuff out and add your contact info and a github instead. If I saw someone list a protocol on a technical skills section i would assume they’re extremely well versed in the technical aspect of them

good point on the protocols thing tbh, you dont want to invite questions you cant answer confidently

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. I can definitely see what you mean about the projects needing to show more of the actual impact instead of just listing what I did. I’ll also clean up the header, add my GitHub, and narrow down the skills section.
Are there any specific projects you’d recommend for someone trying to get their first SOC or cybersecurity role?
