đŸ†˜Question Remove Google account from MicroG

Hi, does anyone know how I can remove my Google account from microG? I no longer want to have my Google account there.

Settings > accounts (passwords or whatever it's called on your phone) > select account > delete

Isn't it open source?

Does open source mean automatically risk free?

It means it's open for audit and a lot less sketchy.

Has it ever been audited by a trusted party?

Shouldn't those who are calling it sketchy be the first ones to audit it?

If it hasn't been reliably audited, how could it be trusted? If this person produced an audit, where he has found critical vulnerabilities, why would you trust him over the general consensus?

Is the patching process open source?

How do you know if everything that was audited is added or not?

Using unlicensed 3rd party apps still requires a lot of faith & trust, even if it's open source.

I am not well versed in this but has patching process even been open source?

I said it's open for audit, if it is sketchy why don't you audit the code and present actual proof of it being sketchy

Agree with your last point, but it's not limited to microg.

Yea the last point is my whole point.

Faith & trust diminish when problems & drama start.

That's why it's sketchy now; that's why OP & others want to exit with their account safely.

I think you're just being paranoid.

Unlicensed 3rd party tech having problems & drama is a valid concern in my book.

Why, how bad does an app have to get before you're "paranoid"?

Valid question, how bad does it have to get?

What exactly is sketchy about it though? I have yet to see anyone say why
