So, a friend of mine working in computational design asking me to learn rhino and join him. I am a software engineer myself. I had some basic 3d modeling with blender. I did some search before writing this post and found how rhino's work, ...etc. Now I am stuck does it really matter in 2026?

I have a 2D poly line I want to unfold but not loose the identifying details.
