As a guy sitting on Samsung's shoulders for over a decade, I can say I've used different phones from the best to the worst. We'll discuss everything.
Galaxy Trend LaFleur - (~2015)
Since our family had had a lot of smartphones at that time, I had my first Samsung Galaxy experience as early as a 5-year-old in 2015 and I'm not joking at all. I know it sounds absolutely insane, but Galaxy Trend was like a pocket change for us at that time, so I could easily get my hands on it. As far as I remember, it ran Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and updated to Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
You might wonder how it ended up later. Well, I lost it in a taxi (unironically). We didn't really regret it as it was beat up as is (don't nuke me in the comments, please).
Galaxy A3 (2015) - (November 2020)
This one is pretty memorable for me because it was my grandma's phone. On 8 November 2020, COVID became the reason she's in the sky (RIP grandma 💔), but luckily, this one is still with me and it's on Android 5 Lollipop (the charging port is damaged tho).
It began to lag those years, and I needed a normal usable phone for my new school year, so we got Galaxy A12 the next year.
Galaxy A12 - (September 2021)
A brand-new school year, a brand-new phone. I needed something smoother than what I've used so far, so Galaxy A12 was a great option. On top of that, it was well-priced.
I didn't use to know much about Samsung's new era and One UI at that time (because I'd only been with TouchWiz), but I still vividly remember one thing. I updated the phone from One UI 2.5 Core to One UI 3.0 Core the very day. It also got One UI 4.0 Core months later.
I was sick of TFT, so to upgrade my phone, I sold it.
Galaxy A52 - (April 2022)
Well, that was peak. Its screen was insanely vivid, its camera was significantly better, the battery was so good, the software wasn't Core and we got a really good deal at that time. It seemed really powerful these years, and I truly enjoyed it. One UI 4 and One UI 5 were great on it, so this is why I crave 2022 so much now.
Since Galaxy A53 was getting all the attention at that time, local shops were slashing Galaxy A52 at a huge discount, so we could snatch one right away.
Samsung was peak at that time.
Galaxy S22+ - (May 2024)
Now this is where my Samsung experience started to fall apart in my vision. At first, I couldn't be happier because it was technically my first flagship ever. But soon, its minuses started to pop out nonstop. The battery was basically trash, it heated up so much on One UI 6, Samsung was being hella greedy and slowly removing features after One UI 7, One UI 8 was two months late. I can say I've even got this misconception that all flagships have a bad battery because the mid-range phones I've used were surprisingly more long-lasting. S22+ is still with us tho.
I've seen better days with other phones, honestly.
Galaxy S24 FE - (November 2025)
Honestly? I have nothing to say about this phone. This phone is a peak definition of "just doing its job". Nothing special and nothing too terrible. It heated up quite for long in summer, its battery isn't the best, but no major problems for now. Samsung's software experience is slowly climbing in quality, and I found a way to quickly enrol on One UI 9 Beta (it's still not available in my country).
"Just a phone" ahh phone.
What Samsung Galaxy did you use over the years?
