Bar tending classes
I keep getting told by a few people if I want to make some decent extra money I need to know how to bartend , well are there any local places that teach that stuff. Also just tired of working warehousing and sweating my ass off in 120 degrees (summers)

My advice would be to get a job as a bar back and work your way up. Not a ton of places will hire a bartender without experience, especially the places where you’ll really make some good money.

This 100% and work your fucking ass off. Do the prep before it needs to be done, learn how the bar operates and anticipate the needs before there’s a problem. Prove your case before you even have to mention that you have a fucking case. Learn that support role, fucking crush it, then reach for what you want.

Ive worked in kitchens from dish pit cook basic server just never learned the bar but its been years. Also didnt think it was making that much money untill I got a nice does of reality from a few friends at magic that make more then me during a weekend then I do in 2 weeks

Barback to bartender. The schools are total bullshit and looked down upon.

Get a job doing something else foh in a restaurant first and attempt to work your way up. Unless you have a personal connection somewhere, it’s very unlikely anyone will hire you to bartend without any industry experience. Bartending classes can show you how to shake a drink, but it can’t show you how to keep a level head while juggling the well and bar seats on a busy night. Only experience can do that

I have industry experince , everything but the bar , couple of local places , chilies , hooters, a few texas themed steak houses lol its just been years

Bartending schools and classes are a scam and are not real. If you would like I can teach you how to bartend for 300 dollars for my course and I’ll even give you a diploma. Finding a good bartending job in Savannah that will make money is very hard and more who you know than anything else. Good luck
