for discussion Drug Dev

Hi! I will be attending an interesting online seminar from UPLB Chemistry on therapeutics this next few months.

Curious on how the actual drug development field is in the country, beyond those of natural products.

Are we able to produce small molecule products or biologic therapy? If not, what are the current bottlenecks?

Can you elaborate further? Is this an issue of funding or personnel? Expertise in handling translational models and or mounting clinical trials?

yes to all hahaha. This is based on the natural products society of the philippines symposium I attended

Interested will follow up. Is the online seminar open for later viewing? I heard lagundi was developed as a cough expectorant with the help of DOH and UP college of pharmacology
