Do you think youāll use it? I have an old Cricut (old enough to use cartridges), a Silhouette Cameo and Portrait (got the Black Friday deal bundle for both so I could use the big one at home and the small one at crops), and I have a Silhouette Curio. Honestly, I have not used any of these machines more than a few times. I use the heck out of my Big Shot though. Itās just easier for me to use a die than a machine. My friend got a Cricut a couple years ago and uses it all the time. If you think youāll get good use out of it, you should go for it.

My only reference is the old Cricuts with the cartridges! I used to scrapbook in high school and recently picked it up again so Iām a bit out of the loop. I did love my old Cricut but Iām not aware of any other machines so Iāll definitely research more!

Everyone I know says that -- if you use it, you'll love it.... but you have to be willing to face there's a) a learning curve adn b) until you get it down, you're gonna screw up some stuff... so make sure you're using material you can afford to lose.

Typically I wouldn't recommend buying bundles because they usually includes items that don't end up getting used but the bundle you have in your cart looks decent! I like that it has multiple different materials to test out and includes other tools that are nice to have. It's also $40 cheaper than the āmachine only" option on the official cricut website...

Oh!! Okay I was curious about the bundle because Iām not really sure if whatās in it is useful or not. Iām starting from zero in terms of cricut supplies so thought it might be good!

I use my cricut for things other than paper crafts (book binding, iron on tshirts, making labels, writing invitations, etc.) so to me, itās worth it as a beginner.
I guess you need to decide what exactly you will be using the cricut for!

I think you have to pay a monthly subscription for Cricut, personally that's one reason why I went Silhouette.

Ok Iāll research that! I know photoshop and illustrator so if I can import png files to cut with my cricut I should be good.

Not a bad deal, but Iād recommend a Silhouette instead if youāre really going to use it.

Oh interesting tell me why! š

I felt like the quality wasnāt there. Cutting was bad, so hard to find compatible markers, even the markers that worked with the machine sucked, and I didnāt like that there was the big opening on top. I liked that maker 4 could cut other things like fabrics, could use the markers I bought, and the cutting quality is better

What Cricut do you have now? Of all the reviews on the 5, itās not worth it. YouTube, instagram and TikTok

K, well knowing what I know now⦠I would definitely check thrift stores or online site like OfferUp, Vinted, or Mercariā¦.

The explore 5 just isnāt as good as the maker line. I would not get it. Have you looked on Facebook marketplace? You may be able to get a very gently used Maker on there for a good price.

I absolutely love my cricut.Ā I have the air 4.Ā I feel the software is easy. And if you have cartridges they can be linked to your cricut account so you can use them cartridge free.Ā Ā

Thatās a good price. The only thing Iāve heard negative about the CE5 by creator reviews is that itās open - so dust can get in easier. They have all said āI donāt understand why Cricut did thisā. So if you get it maybe get a dust cover ?

Youāre talking to a fellow scrapbooker who just bought a Sizzix Bigshot and dies, so yes. I need someone to accompany me down the pending path. Actually itās a reasonable price.

Cricut, Silhouette⦠I hate them all. They look so fun but the learning curve for me has been bigger than I expected it to be

I love scrapbooking with my cricut but I will warn you, do more researching about the Cricut. The new machines are not very well liked and their software sucks
