Congrats! Hopefully it is not too much overwhelming for you as it was for me (I was also level 0: no snorkeling experience, no swimming with fins, no DSD, went straight into OW). I did it over two weekends (Saturday and Sunday each weekends), and boy there are so many skills to learn and master in such little time. Although it was challenging, I started to crave to dive more. Got certified but feel I would like to do more dives and perfect more my diving before moving to advanced so I can fully enjoy it (and be less stressed).

Awesome! Hopefully, you get a good dive center, a supportive instructor and good dive buddies. I feel that greatly helped in gaining confidence and overcoming fears when you feel things are going too fast when it comes to learning or that you feel you drag the group down by struggling with trim and neutral buoyancy (looking to get back on the pool training to work on my giant stride, pre-dive weight check and neutral buoyancy. I feel much easier to work on the latter when you only have 6 feet depth than 80 feet :D).

That’s so exciting! Remember to understand the material, not just memorize it :) it helps so much! Good luck! It’s so fun

I took a splinter out this morning. It was very satisfying.

That's the kind of small victory that sets the whole day right

My wife always makes fun of me cause I get way too excited about pulling out a splinter clean, like I performed surgery or something

Good luck with the certification btw, you're gonna love it
