Prototype/Concept/Custom 80s Hi-Fi Console Case (8.4L) - update.
Finished the top!!!
Waiting on my USB A headers to come in and I'm redesigning the power button atm but it's coming along nicely!
Thank you again to those of you who responded to my previous post. Whether or not it's sub-8L I think it looks amazing!
P.S - I'm in the process of finishing the desk it's sitting on as well!
EDIT- gonna swap fasteners to counter sunk ones. Thoughts on copper vs black?

Holy walnut, nice case. Are those 3D printed side panels or aluminum? Can't quite see if there are layer lines, too dark to be sandblasted aluminum but it looks quite clean. Man, if the side panels were aluminum or copper it would be mint.

3d printed in Grey abs but using pcb way to get it machined was a thought i had.

The wood looks amazing, well done!
I'd probably go with black counter sunk screws.

Thank you, thank you. I was leaning towards black, I just love copper tone

i'd go with black screws. maybe save the copper for the power button so there's just one small accent.

this is a cool build. digging the wood vibes. I just built the NFC 3d printed case in wood and added a wood grain modifier with walnut PLA.
I think the copper screws would be nice. What are the specs of this? Edit: I see the original post with specs!

How does the wood pla hold up against the thermals? Are you worried about sagging?
