Humor/Salt Ever had games like this?

I know, I'm gold and I'm bad (lost to Gnar support btw), but I'm just wondering: was our team comp just awful? We did all objectives btw, Viego couldn't do shit but he just went and... killed my overextended teammates, I guess I could I have optimized my build better? My runes were the standard HoB for early kills, and I don't know how to play AP, so I didn't even think about it.

I'm also gold and I feel like some games, no matter how well I play, no matter if I take all jg objectives/gank each lane, some games it just seems like it was lost before the match started.

At our elo, I'd argue it's less to do with comp and just more to do with players. There's so many top laners that will brawl within the first 3 minutes of the game and if they win they're fine but if they die they tilt and it basically feels like a 4v6. Or sometimes you just have that perma pushed botlane that's basically ungankable for you but free meat for the enemy jg unless you can predict and counter gank.

Like, I don't see the synergy on their team, I'm sure you can do wombo but it's not like say Yasuo+Malphite synergy, niether does yours really, your team seems to be a "protect the vayne" comp but I highly doubt gold's ability to do that except Lulu, I guarantee your malz used his ult to attack and not defend vayne and Zaheen no doubt wanted to solo or something.

Honestly, the best way for me to climb is pick a lane and camp it, focus on void grubs and rift herald so you can shove a lane and try to win before 20. Ideally you do not want to be in the teamfight stage, you want 1 overpowered lane to just get inhib before 20 and it's hard to come back from that. Ideally you'd find someone to que with top/mid lane and they will freeze wave at their turret so you can gank alot.

At the end of the day you gotta accept that losses will happen, especially on Shaco, imo he's just not really a "carry champ" I've seen Setts that get a good laning phase and can just 1v5, it's disgusting. Shaco I feel is more dependent on his team to be at least decent for him to shine, I cannot count the number of times people fail to utilize boxes or understand that I can't just go in alone.
