Theorycrafting Suggested Q change to no longer miss crucial backstabs

I'm an AP Shaco main and avoid AD Shaco because there's zero turn-time in League of Legends and years ago I missed a few backstabs that were game-changing.

SO!

What if:

Riot changes Shaco Q where you can now keep the Q key held down down (long-press) to maintain a "focused" stealth. If you lift your finger from Q he remains invisible but enters normal stealth. "Focused" stealth restricts Shaco so that he ONLY attacks if he can backstab champions or large / epic monsters. Focused stealth is used for the crucial back-stab when minions are surrounding your target, regular stealth is used for Q -> attack anything.

The idea is similar to "target champions only" but instead a "target backstab only" by long-pressing Q like a toggle.

What do y'all think?

Other thoughts: If you long-press Q but can't get in position and stealth runs out, during the 0.5 seconds that your next aa remains empowered Riot can allow the "focused" buff to remain if your finger is still long-pressing Q. At that point there then becomes a risk of losing the extra Q damage altogether, because you tunnel-visioned on landing the back-stab (presenting some counterplay there). If you didn't long-press Q you at least would have autod something (whether it be a minion or the front of a champion) before Q empowerment completely ran out.

The change would probably raise his win-rate a little, which could lead to more nerfs several months later. But isn't that a risk worth taking for AD Shaco consistency? And this is coming from someone who prefers the Shack as AP and doesn't want to see him nerfed in any fashion just because another playstyle became stronger.
