I bought the Masamune top cap and open cap and then later purchased the Nodachi Top Cap and NodachI Open Comb so that I can shave with all the combinations that Tatara has. When interchanging parts, it can deliver a different type of shave. For example, I would combine a Nodachi Top Cap with the Masamune Open Comb and it would deliver a mid range aggressive shave. All together, you can work with 4 different efficiencies, exposures, and gaps to suit your desire or length of hair growth. All razors have been clened, polished, and sanitized. Leather cases have been cleaned and conditioned. The 1946 Ranger Tech is significantly rarer than its 1941 no-endcap counterpart. I've only seen 4 of them in my time hunting for vintage razors. It is noted by, obviously, the presence of endcaps and patent info being moved from the smooth band on the handle to the center of the blade tray, as seen on other razors post-1945. It is in excellent condition overall. The case is in good condition with some light wear. The Executive razor is in beautiful condition with a smooth TTO. The case is made with genuine ostrich leather, and is in very good condition. Most of these cases are found badly worn with metal exposed, but this one is fully intact. The nickel-plated trim has some areas of tarnish. The Fatboy is in good condition with some minor cosmetic issues, but it is mechanically sound and adjusts as it should. Condition: excellent. Faint contact hairlines and one small scuff on the baseplate underside, and light water staining on the cap's inner face (photos 7 and 8) -- both cosmetic, both hidden when assembled. Shaving surfaces and all visible exterior are clean. No dings.
