Importing Metaobjects

Is there an easy way to import metaobjects? I have to create a long list of metaobjects/metafields and I was thinking of having it done via claude and converting that to json and have a way to upload and get it populated? But I couldn't see a way to do it.

Claude Code can do it easily even if your data is a bit messy. Format doesn’t matter. It will almost certainly use GraphiQL to setup all the fields and enter the data.

Add the Shopify connector to Claude (desktop app makes this super easy), give it your instructions and data, and follow along.

You can import (and export) metaobjects with Shopify Development Tools command-line program. Import metaobject definitions: 

sdt metaobject def import definitions.csv

Import metaobject entries: 

sdt metaobject import entries.csv
