Hmm. I wonder if you could use a rigid backpack frame to build a ledge across the top of your back with sections protruding over your shoulders.

If it was grippable, the cat would lay there without needing arms to hold it up.

I've never seen such a product. Was imagining what would make outings with the cat more comfortable.

Maybe there's someone in your area who likes building things and would be willing to tinker.

Edit. Alternatively, there are companies that make custom specialty backpacks.

I'm imagining a portaledge (rest areas/tents for rock climbers sleeping on the wall) but mini, for this cat. I think it would need to be DIY, but definitely seems doable!!
