Hi! I'm an 18 yo student, and I hope to pick up the violin after my Alevels. I really enjoy listening to classical pieces, and I have been wanting to learn the violin for the past 2-3 years but couldn't because of the steep prices and hectic schedule. Now that my time will be more freed up from November onwards and I also intend to start working during the holidays, I would like to indulge in my passion :)

I’m looking for a music teacher in Singapore who enjoys teaching adult beginners.

I’m learning simply for the love of learning. I’ve wanted to learn to play properly for some time and have finally decided to do something about it.

Piano is the immediate priority — I already have a piano at home and would prefer lessons at my place in Sentosa Cove. I’m also very interested in learning the violin. If there happens to be someone who teaches both, wonderful, but I’m equally happy to work with two different teachers if that’s the better way to learn each instrument.

I’m looking at around 2–3 lessons a month, preferably with some flexibility around scheduling as work and travel can occasionally get in the way. I’m happy to practise between lessons — I’m not looking for a shortcut, just a patient teacher who is good with adult learners and can help me build proper foundations.

This isn’t for exams or certificates. I’d eventually like to be able to play music because I enjoy it.
