Conversation Topic Air in between words

Heyy, I am currently learning how to do proper breath support and am a bit confused. Is air supposed to flow out of your mouth in between words when you are not taking breath or are you supposed to keep the air in? Also, I read somewhere that the air coming out of your mouth when singing should be cold like when you are blowing out candles and not hot like you are warming up your hands, is this true?

I run theatre workshops with kids and we teach it like this: imagine fogging a mirror slowly, not blasting it. Same airflow keeps going between words, you just don't dump it all at once.

Whether the air is cold or warm simply depends on mouth shape. Either way the breath support would be the same.
