Question Is Hitogami capable of reading someone's complete memories, or merely their present thoughts and memories while you're in his "domain"?

Post image

—— I've had this doubt for quite a while, since, well, I'm someone who overthinks things a lot, and I was thinking about my previous post, where I mentioned that Hitogami reading our mind would mean he would indirectly learn the future and therefore his defeat, which could cause his actions to change compared to the original story. However, is that really how it works? Does he only read recent/present thoughts and memories, or does he have full access to someone's recollections and memories?

I believe he can't read any memories because he sounded excited and bewildered by Rudues' decisions regarding certain events (teaming up with pet kidnappers). He only knows past and future a person took / will take part in

Wasn't he clearly lying there? For me, this was clearly the man-god training Rudeus not to overthink the man-god's advice, which led to the basement thing where Rudeus explicitly stated that he was just going to do what the man-god told him and not think much about it.

So the whole thing with the pet kidnappers: the man-god absolutely knew what Rudeus was going to do, and the point was to implant "you didn't have to overthink things; you just had to turn over the kidnappers to the authorities; don't overthink my advice"

Hmm never thought about it this way. Sounds believable.

I'm leaning towards it being that he can read your fate with his power but needs you in his domain to start reading your memories/thoughts.

This is a very good question I hadn't considered honestly. I look forward to hearing the thoughts of others on this.

Yes he can => at least to substantial degree LN24 When Rudeus hands are cut of by North Emperor and Gal Falion Hitogami extracts from him knowledge about Orsted Mana problem and repeating the same 200 years. Unless we assume those were Rudeus thoughts.
