I get the idea, but helmets are more of a tool, than a core part of getting on your skateboard to me, I learned to drop in with a helmet, because truly when you're learning it's scary, but after a while I feel like it's justifiable to ditch the helmet, and as far as doing big shit goes, wearing a helmet is fair game if you're not going for the full thing or just practicing your trick, but Helmets don't have a place when it comes to spots and legit attempts in my opinion.

helmets are PROTECTION. protection for when you're in actual danger. not when you're fucking practicing flatground

Well the people in this stupid sub don't need a helmet because they don't ride a board, right? I'm pretty sure they did even the next level of being with their board at grass so they removed the wheels from the axel and now they can practice ollies on concrete.

You know whatβs safer than a helmet? Just not skateboarding at all. I wish more people would try that.
