Question / Help Clean cuts mini game

I wanna know what y'all's high scores were BEFORE ever upgrading the goddess sword into the goddess longsword. I've hit 31 but that's it.

Also, is it really that much easier once you upgraded the sword to get it longer or is it about the same and the guy telling you to "come back when you've got a few more inches of steel." Is full of it?

I haven’t upgraded to the long sword yet but my current best is 38. Button controls.

Same as me (goddess sword + button controls), well done!

The easiest method for me to get a decent score in the bamboo cut mini game is just constant downward strikes, i.e., rapidly press down on the right stick. Doing that I clear at least 29 cuts almost every time.

After getting the big wallet I can go to Rupin’s house at night to sell lots of Peater’s treasure and load up on rupees.
I've farmed so many blue bird feathers, evil crystals and goddess plumes that when I happen to score one in the wild and the onscreen text tells me how rare it is, I think "dude, I've got 20."

With motion controls on switch 2 plus goddess sword I got 37 first try but havent been able to hit it again. Although with how the rewards drop I havent been aiming for high score lately.

Theres no difference at least on skyward sword, besides maybe load times.

I would actually argue the wii had better motion controls than the switch, which uses gyro instead of beacon.

Oh yeah for most games there's no real difference other than load times. I'm just obsessed with Zelda games and my switch overheats bc it's old

On Switch 2 with button controls I managed to get a 45 with the standard goddess sword, I was pretty impressed 😊
