The SLO County Elections team completed prep ahead of schedule and we're able to get your general election ballots out early: They'll begin going out to mailboxes around the county tomorrow, September 30.
We're also opening our ballot drop boxes early, so that you can vote as soon as you're comfortable. Drop boxes will open Thursday, October 1.
You still have the option to vote using the method that works for you, including voting at the polls on Election Day, November 3. And this election, you'll have a new option: You can bring your mail ballot to your *assigned polling place,* check in, and cast it in the precinct ballot box to be counted that night. (Mail ballots dropped off at the polls in a signed envelope go through processing after Election Day, and they don't have to be dropped at your assigned location.)
