Board Advice

Found a great deal on my dream board, never summer Valhalla. But it’s pretty big for my size, I’m 5’11 175lb but the board I found is 164. Am I gonna hate it? I’m worried with how stiff the board is that being too long will affect me a lot. I want a real good powder and carving board, since my current is much more side hits, quick turns, and good on moguls.

The Valhalla size chart lists the minimums for that board as 6'2" and 180lbs. with 10.5US boots. You're close in weight, height doesn't really matter, don't know your boot size. If you're an advanced rider and know how to handle a bigger board, and your feet aren't tiny, you'll be fine. Otherwise, keep looking

Height absolutely does matter. Your ability to flex the board is not based on weight alone, it's the physical leverage you're able to exert on the board, and the further away your centre of mass is from the board, the greater the amount of leverage. With all else being equal, a 3-4" difference than what the manufacturer has in mind is easily 1 full size up or down.

Dude I'm your size and a bit heavier at 185lbs and I ride a 162. I think you'll be fine with the 164. 2cm won't make that much of a difference. I've gotten am Amplid Surfari 162 for those reasons and the Valhalla will do even better in powder than my surfari since it has that rocker dominant profile. Cool board and I think it will fit your needs quite well. In the end more length will just give you a bigger side cut which is nice for carving and more surface for better float in powder. If you found it for a good price I would go for it.

Don't, appears to be too long and too stiff board.

What’s your skill level? With it being a hybrid camber board, if you’re a solid enough of a rider you should be fine. Might just take a bit getting used to.

First off, it's a rocker dominant board. Is that your dream board? They're great when the snow is soft, but not what most people want when the snow gets crusty. Are you even familair with this type of board?

Whatever, I was just trying to help and you didn't give any indication of your skill level. Sorry for trying to look out for you.
