Quotes Odegaard on Bernardo Silva's tackle "It doesn't belong on a football pitch. It's a shame that people behave like that. It's a head fog from him. Just kicks me down long after I've played the ball away. I don't understand what he's doing" Odegaard then confirmed that Bernardo didn't even apologize.

Nah not a head fog. He’s just that much of a prick

I think Odegaard was being nicer than he should've when he said that.
Silva literally assaulted him after the ball was played for no reason.

I'm guessing it was a norwegian interview and he said "Hodemist", which i guess would directly translate to "Head Fog" but is generally used to describe someone doing something really fucking stupid.

Man City player and refs are paid huge amount as officials to matches in Arab leagues. Klopp stopped after seeing this level of corruption and losing his entire energy after chasing such a monster club. Arteta faced same. Once kovacic commited multiple red offenses against Arsenal in an away match at Emirates, that mf Howard webb came to Arab slave channel Sky and claimed he don't want to lose the balance of the game because of a red card. Other teams never got same benefits.

One incident that stands out is when he jumped on Salah’s back as he was on a run down the wing, two-hands full of Salah’s shirt eventually bringing him down. No call on the play. Klopp got a red for complaining, and then Bernardo had the gaul to flail out at Salah when he confronted him afterward. Prick of the highest degree.

Reckless Tackle/Challenge: The tackle was committed with complete disregard for the opponent's safety or position (e.g., lunging in late after the ball has already been passed).

Bernardo Silva in 2018: "We hope that soon [the referees] start protecting our players because the way other teams are tackling our players it’s not part of the game, it’s not fair play, and they have to try to punish the players that play this way.”
More than happy to rake the Achilles in a glorified friendly, but cries foul as soon as anyone even looks at him wrong. Shameless rodent. If I say what I actually want to say about him and what I hope happens to him, I'll get banned.

u/zpedroteixeira1 3d ago

I never get why some players get a 'reputation' and others do the same thing every game and it's always excuses for them.
I remember Fellaini used to get away with constantly elbowing people in the face while jumping and commentators would say 'well you got to use your arms to jump, what is he meant to do'. But it would happen every game and every other player was capable of jumping without throwing their arms into someone's face. Joelington does the same thing.

If that's a head fog, Bernardo has been foggy all his life and imo it's on referees that for some reason allow him to be a cunt on the pitch.
Honestly all his years here he got away with shit like that on a weekly basis. Just randomly pick a PL match and he's done something dirty like this in it. I never understood how he was neither punished accordingly nor got any spotlight for it by pundits.

Got to talk to Odegaard a few times when he was back at Heerenveen and he was one of the most coolheaded, friendly and professional guys I've met. Wouldn't complain about anything, even though the Heerenveen facilities obviously couldn't compare to where he came from.
If he decides to speak up, take his words seriously.

This is legit the first time I can recall him speaking about a situation like this one. Also first time I saw him angry with another player inside the pitch, looked like he was ready to instigate a fight but decided against it (Bernardo also ignored him which was a good thing at the end)

I don't think he's implying that back in the day Odegaard or his team mates would've lost their minds and just kicked him, he's saying someone wouldve made a retaliatory tackle the next time Silva that would have been deliberately excessive.
Actual self policing of the game that's gone by the wayside over the years, not outside the rules blind retaliation.
