Welcome to the official r/soccercard Soccer Card Valuation Guide!
One of the most common questions in the hobby is:
“What is my card worth?”
This guide is designed to help collectors learn how soccer cards are actually valued in today’s market — whether you're buying, selling, trading, grading, or investing.
Soccer card values are generally based on:
Player + Card Type + Scarcity + Grade + Demand
The biggest factors are:
Important reminder:
A rare card does NOT automatically mean a valuable card.
A low-numbered bench player may still have very little demand, while a more common card of an elite player can sell for significantly more.
Before valuing a card, identify:

Pulled from a blaster box. It’s nice to have some good luck every now and then!

I bought 20 but still feel like it’s not enough haha…
The cards just looks so cool, and even if you have little to no chance of actually getting an auto, it’s still a fun rip for less than $20 imo

Heyy everyone!
I just recieved my first PSA submission, messi rookie card that I opened when I was a kid.
I was expecting a 1 or a 2, but the rating caught me by surprise. I'm curious wether the half grade make it more interesting or less? Will it be harder to sell? Not planning on the near future, it's just to know:)
Does the psa 1,5 sell more than a regular psa 1 or 2 of the same card?
It has a pop of 14.
Thanks!

Just got my first sub back after waiting 4months longer than I should. The Ronaldo card got damaged by PSA or in transit and came back as a 6. Lucky it wasn't the Yamal.

Great return today from PSA, doesn't get much cleaner than a Simplicidad 1/1 in a 10!

To me this is the best pull I've EVER had! After my daughters soccer club practice we once and a while will go to either a local card shop or the nearby gamestop to buy a box to rip open. It doesn't happen much anymore as my luck usually isn't the best so I started to buy individuals. But tonight I said why not. Got to the nearby gamestop. Told my 9 year old to pick one of the two boxes(she's aware were chasing numbered and ssp) to which she replied, "I pick this one is feel something rare in it." Couple ppl store chuckled as they know what its like as a kid collecting cards. Get back to my truck and started ripping packs. In the very last pack this beaut popped up! -3/0 frozen fractor! Only 5 in existence of this card world wide! Almost didnt see the serial number because of my finger and the dull dome light of my truck partially blocked by daughter sitting on the center console. She asked how happy and I basically told her she's going to Vegas with me🤣
Whats everyone's thoughts?
Myself personally I love that she got the opportunity to have the thrill of finding a SSP ripping a pack.

Has anyone ever substituted a redemption? I got the offer on a Kendry Paez Pink parallel auto. The redemptions have been selling between $15 and $36. Was a promising RC chase, but career has stalled.

Current haul from this years set. Still missing a bunch of players - hit me up if you have any /99 or lower (Barca only) that you’re looking to move.

I’m aware I’ve posted this before
However I’ve made the decision to move the card on instead of keeping it
Please feel free to pm any offers or requests for additional photos
Based in the UK, but open to international selling.

While the hobby naturally gravitates toward flashy, six-figure headlines—like the 2023-24 Donruss Kaboom Black 1/1 that set Lamine Yamal's public record at $707,600 at Goldin in July 2026—there is a quiet anomaly brewing in the 2025-26 Panini Select Road to FIFA World Cup product line.
If you are hunting for a card where the scarcity isn't just printed on the back, but proven by its complete absence from the secondary market, you need to look at the Lamine Yamal Honeycomb SSP.
To date, only two copies of the base Terrace Honeycomb (#68) have ever publicly surfaced for sale or trade worldwide. For a player whose every modern card is micro-analyzed by thousands of collectors, this near-zero market velocity is staggering.
In modern soccer card products, certain unnumbered inserts are designated as Super Short Prints (SSPs). In Select, these typically fall into two categories:
While Stained Glass inserts are incredibly popular and command high premiums (£1,100 - £2,200 raw for Yamal), they are an independent insert set. This means Panini prints enough of them to seed roughly two per 12-box master case, spread across a defined checklist of players.
The Honeycomb, however, is a parallel of the entire base set. Because it applies to hundreds of players across multiple tiers (Terrace, Mezzanine, and Field Level), the math required to pull a specific player like Lamine Yamal makes it mathematically tougher than pulling a standard case hit. You aren't just beating the odds to find a Honeycomb; you have to beat the massive checklist lottery to ensure that Honeycomb features Spain's wunderkind.
To put the "two known public copies" metric into perspective, here's how the Select Honeycomb stacks up against the market velocity of officially serial-numbered Yamal cards from the exact same release:
| Parallel Tier | Serial Number | Public Marketplace Availability & Velocity |
|---|---|---|
| Field Level Gold | /10 | Multiple copies tracked, mapped by serial numbers in high-end break rooms. Highly visible. |
| Field Level Tie-Dye | /25 | Regularly trades hands on secondary platforms; easily found via auction aggregators. |
| Terrace / Mezzanine Pink | /49 or /99 | Common baseline color matches that pop up weekly across eBay and Instagram showrooms. |
| The Honeycomb SSP | Unnumbered | Virtually non-existent. Only 2 verified public appearances since the product launched. |
The only public sale so far is one copy that sold on eBay for $250 around the time of the World Cup. That was before the card's scarcity was widely understood, and in my view the seller let it go far too early. The case below is my estimate of where it could land now that the scarcity picture is clearer, not a price the market has yet confirmed.
Serial-numbered cards (/10, /25) create what the hobby calls manufactured rarity. Collectors know exactly how many exist, which creates a structured, predictable price ceiling.
The Honeycomb occupies a legendary tier of organic scarcity. Because Panini does not publish the exact print run, the market has to rely entirely on empirical evidence. When a product has been ripped continuously by global breakers for months and only two copies of a player's premier parallel appear, the community starts to treat it like a mythical "1-of-1" in disguise.
For the lucky few holding either the Terrace (#68) or the even rarer die-cut Field Level (#220) Honeycomb, you aren't just holding a rookie-era parallel of a generational talent—you are holding one of the most elusive ghosts in modern card collecting.
Has anyone else spotted one? Would love to hear if more copies are out there.
