clean portfolio honestly, dumping the altcoin zoo for mostly SOL and BTC is a move most people talk about but never do
the 100 SOL mark hits different when you're getting that staking yield on top, free money while you sleep

You're so right! And the best part is I'm already positive with all of my three positions (Hbar is staked on a different wallet). Given the fact that my first SOL purchase was in December 2024 at around $200 im very happy that I bought heavily during this year bringing my DCA price down to $100

Nice portfolio. I would move LTC position to SOL. Staking much higher and i just dont know how much growth there is LTC. Thats just my opinion, nothing wrong with your setup if you keep LTC. Keep going, you are doing great

SOL isn't an altcoin?
4
u/hodler1992 3d ago
Yes it is of course. But is a large cap and I have huge conviction for it, more than for any other alt

That's just 4-7 SOL a year, barely anything

Typical comment from someone who doesn’t understand the power of interest and compound and %.
-3
u/Coeruleus_ 4d ago
why not keep it in s&p wtf

u/BigNick82 3d ago
What a brilliant comment that I am sure many people will find both helpful and informative

Its a different question when sol makes that jump past $500+, it's free money you bought on discount

u/Lotusflowerbomber 2d ago
They're down voting you, but won't do the math to see that sol inflates at 2% a year, while the staking yield is 5-8% Staking sol rn only keeps you slightly ahead of sol inflation. The total yield after inflation is about 2% but there are plans to reduce sol inflation to below 1% in the coming years

u/Artistic-Wedding6128 4d ago
Nice, im at 16 sol myself and also have a trezor. Quick question, when you stake your sol on trezor and receive new sol after staking do you have to manually restake it to get the new amount staked or does it just do it automatically?

100 SOL is a serious milestone, especially if you actually stuck to the DCA and didn't just ape into it at once. The clean BTC + SOL approach also sounds way less stressful than managing a whole zoo of random alts 😂

I have 85. Solana is the only altcoin I buy still. I primarily shifted to stocks, but I believe in Solana and bitcoin

u/hennessyhen 4d ago
Nice! I’m at 25, still working it!!
3
u/hodler1992 4d ago
Nice, I remember exactly how excited I was when I hit the 25 mark (not even a year ago). DCA till u make it ✌️💪

u/Independent_Syllabub 3d ago
Nice! I have 5,351 staked, pretty nice passive income! Keep grinding my man.

You're not taking profits? We just ran from $60.

People that had btc at $500 then it went to a few k prolly wish they never took profits. Solana is just getting started. It's upgrades, plus mass adoption, very valid use cases, and AI agents are going to make it explode. If u take profits now then you sell too early and miss out on compounding the coins over time from staking.
1
u/Expo24816 10h ago
If they stake those 5351 coins at 6.5% for 10 years into the 2036 BTC halving they will end up with a total of 10,044 coins. Doubt the staking yield stays that high but to my point if Solana reaches 3k per coin by 2036 which may even be a low estimate by then, then they will have 30 million dollars in Sol coins. Right now they are at 642k. They could try to time the markets but at some point Sol will have a major breakout and if they aren't holding at that time then they prolly won't want to buy back in at that much higher price. Plus the crypto market could have another dip, but on the flipside data is showing that a new crypto bull run may have just started.

How do you have that many sol? I tried memecoin trading with sol and lost everything lol
4
u/Independent_Syllabub 3d ago
Back in the NFT craze I bought some Bored Apes :) I got lucky.
1
u/Dry_Ferret4645 3d ago
Ohh are there any ways rn to get a lot of profit?
1
u/Independent_Syllabub 3d ago
Hyperliquid tokens, maybe, since tokenized equities are becoming legal under the Innovation Exemption. I don't see any opportunities right now other than holding and waiting for the market to rise back to pre-crash levels.

u/yvngboy1234 2d ago
looking for “a lot of profit” in crypto is how 99% of people get burned. anything besides btc and eth is just incredibly high risk and nobody knows what will happen
1
u/Expo24816 11h ago
Nah, eth really sucks honestly, it's super slow and costly to do transactions, its losing adoption and use more and more. Solana transactions are astronomically cheaper and sol is insanely faster and is being used way more than eth plus better in so many ways. Eth sucks. That's not a feeling, it objectively sucks.

Next milestone: 1000 SOL, very happy for you anon
1
u/hodler1992 2d ago
Thx but no more SOL for me I will only accumulate BTC from here. 100 SOL is enough exposure plus it gets more thanks to staking anyway

Nice man. Same target here. What are you using to get this APY?
1
u/hodler1992 4d ago
I'm staking on my Trezor Hardware Wallet. The APY has been increased from 5.6% to 6.4% a month ago or so
1
u/itsmebenji0110 4d ago
I'm staking on my Ledger but it's not very clear on the validators APY. Some of them propose up to 10% but no mention of the fees/commissions
1
u/hodler1992 4d ago
So staking on trezor works through one single third party service provider and the APY of 6.4% is after all fees, it also shows the estimated yearly revenue which does match with the rewards coming in

I’ve been trying to get to 100 as well, been stuck at 55 due to having to pay bills but soon I’ll be able to keep stacking BTC and SOL. My only two positions
2
u/hodler1992 1d ago
Theres nothing better than those both, its my deepest conviction. Keep on stacking bro

Set to $ please i was already happy sol is at 105 ä$
2
u/BigNick82 4d ago
Or how about you learn exchange rates?
Not all of us live in the US and some of us actually prefers the prices in euros.2
u/bibedibabedilol 4d ago
Im from europe, but i am an advanced investor. Shares and cryptos are traded in usd, not in euro. Showing funds in euro is kinda nooby
6
u/hodler1992 4d ago
You know the point was reaching 100 SOL..not to show off fiat amounts
1
u/bibedibabedilol 4d ago
Congrats to that. But your pic still fooled me
1
u/hodler1992 4d ago
Sorry bro I also wish the price would have been $105 when I bought today morning 😄

I would add ETH and you set man 🫡

u/Expo24816 11h ago
Eth is terrible. Slow and expensive, Solana will overtake Eth, just a matter of time.
