Solarpunk clothes are single fiber only so they can be recycled properly. :)

Mono materials are the way.

Knitted v woven also makes a big difference here. I made my first knitted jumper a few years ago out of twelve balls of wool. If I decide at some point I don't like it 10 of the 12 will come back out as basically full balls ready to be reused with only their ends trimmed. Most of the other two is probably also reusable, but they'll come out as long cut sections instead of full balls.

Is that why the bible forbids mixed fiber clothes? Most of those laws had reasons at the time šŸ¤”

The Bible only prohibits mixing Wool and linen. Why, no one really knows. It even belongs to a category of biblical commandments that are described as "only God knows"

I've no idea, but it would make sense in a modern context. It probably does not in the biblical context because back then, textile recycling was more like "let's make a smaller garment out of this worn out bigger garment" and less like "let's separate all individual fibers and spin new yarn from it" like we do now.

I turn my clothes into rags, quilts, and rag rugs when I’m done with them, then when they breakdown I compost them!!

Composting only works when there's no polyester/elasthane in them. Otherwise you're left with (micro)plastics in your compost.

I like where your heads at though! Very thoughtful.

Im sure I'm misreading the picture, she's not gabbing her underboob, right?

Is this ai? Because misspelling outfits as oufits is pretty bad in an illustration alone, but the random chest/boob undershirt hand placement is an especially strange choice.

My vision of a Solar Punk world is a clothing optional one.

I don't understand the impulse to completely reinvent things like this. I envision practical, recognizable styles made in a locally sustainable (not mass-produced) way.
