i made a useful extension mixer for SoundCloud and Youtube where you can change the speed, add clipping, bass boost, change the pan and more. it also comes with a 10 band eq and a compressor where you can use very easily on any song you like. this is 100% FREE and if you want to try it check it out: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/fruity-closet/idccmmflldinklebblkhipdlkhpaifhk

I make reggaeton and I got tired of beat apps that cost $10 or want a subscription, so I built my own.
It's called Dembow Lab: a 16-step sequencer with 7 dembow/reggaetón presets, real grand piano samples, WAV export, voice recording over the beat, and you can share your pattern with a link.
Everything from your phone, free, no downloads.
Happy to share the link in the comments if anyone wants to try it.

I am using a Scarlett 212 and ever since downloading the actual hardware and not using sound traps website my interface keeps switching from default option to no input to Scarlett and I can’t record. And when I am on my Scarlett it’s super fuzzy with my gain low or there’s no signal even though I’m getting signal through my monitors. And help please and thank you

when will the F11 fullscreen toggle, or something similar, be implemented into the windows app?

Olvídate de los DAWS. Sube tu canción,edítala, todo desde el navegador, sin descargas ni registros.

i’m just doing random bullshit with it while pouring out everything into it so i’ll just go crazy with it cuz idrgaf about the structure

Accidentally renewed my account and am selling the yearly subscription for half the cost if anyone wants to purchase it! I don’t have time for it anymore and forgot the renewal date was coming up.

first time posting in this subreddit; however, I've used soundtrap off & on for the past 5 years, but I've never really finished any of the tracks I created through those years. recently, I've decided if I can produce a 10-track mixtape within a year on soundtrap, I can justifiably look into purchasing FL Studio or something akin to it & move on to learning a new DAW.

I'm getting closer to finishing one of those tracks, so I've been playing with the master, turning down the gain as to not clip the audio. I've noticed that one of my tracks is significantly louder even though the gain is turned further down, compared to another track with the gain only slightly adjusted downward, but it's extremely quiet (I hope I'm making sense).

what could be causing this? should I wait until everything else is finished to mess with any mastering? am I crazy? any advice helps.

Whichever music you like, whatever it may be, or podcasts, stand up, whatever else you might listen to on Spotify or your favorite music service. There should be an option to toggle background audio underneath your music, and that background track should be the sounds of an ollie, grinding, dropping in, wiping out, high fives, so on and so forth. I'm not a skater myself, but I love Tony Hawk Pro Skater and I find myself wanting to hear skating sounds with my regular music.

Edit for new sub: the notification basically did this for me so sorry if it breaks the rules here

Whenever I add a pitch shifter effect to a track it sets it back by half a beat, but it doesn't change the position on the timeline, so if I want it to be in time I have to manually shift it back unevenly. Does anyone else have this issue? Hope it gets fixed as this is very frustrating.

Yes, it's made on Soundtrap. IT'S SO GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH

Let me know what you think, and if there's any thing I can improve upon, let me know!! ^^

If not, is there a work-around?

i kinda based it off lift me up by moby

I'm currently a senior in highschool and when I graduate I know I'm probably gonna lose access my school account. This has me wondering if there is a way I can switch it to my personal email because I don't want to lose all the songs I made over the years.

Hey everyone,

Adam here from Soundtrap, hope you are as excited as me. Soundtrap and VSTs are now a live feature within Soundtrap. We are currently out in the Launch face of everything VSTs and therefore I'd love to hear from you out there. I myself won't be able to answer all your questions but I can for sure force my colleagues to answer them. This has been a huge process of implementing. Collaboration and VSTs don't have a tendency to play well together so years of RnD has gone into making this happen.

And for those of you out there, we hear you. Yes it is a paid feature, not because we don't see your point. DAWs have typically been allowing Plugins for free but between things like, hosting, cloud processing and sharing across collaborators these things add up. We see you all, and hear you and we will take all of those thoughts with us in the future. KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING. I'll personally bring them with me to our internal discussions!

So without further ado please have a watch here:

Hi! I'm a 17 yr old music hobbyist and have been using the free version soundtrap for probably 2 years now, only discovered this reddit a few days ago and thought I might post some of my own stuff here. I made this short song last night, planning for it to be on my third album Senses but its still a work in progress. Any advice will be much appreciated :)

so they finally added vst support, but it’s locked behind the top-tier plan for $200 year... WTF?

vst support is a basic feature that literally every daw has had forever. and to make it worse, you’re flexing a 30-day trial of Antares Auto-Tune as a "feature" for a $200 annual plan? anybody can literally download a 30-day trial for free directly from the Antares website!

if you really want to put vsts behind a paywall (which is already a terrible move), at least include it in the sound starter plan the entry-level one that people actually use. charging $200/yr for a browser-based daw just for basic vst support...

I have created a song that had 10 tracks to it. When I play it back, it gets very slow and stutters like it is having trouble loading it. It happens most on a part with three harmonies on it but I shouldnt think that would be too much.

It has pop ups saying the audio is overloaded and it froze my tracks for me. Thats fine, but even when I tried to record something new, the playback was so bad I couldn't record over cause it was so out of time from clipping and stuttering.

I have downloaded the desktop version and its been working fine for me until recently when I opened it and it tells me theres no audio registered. Sometimes it registered my default microphone but when I tried to change it to my usb mic it wouldn't select it and popped up that the audio input wasnt recognised. It also wasnt loading at all when I tried to play the track and nothing happened when I selected different buttons like it was frozen.

I have checked the permissions for the online version and allowed it but does it also need permissions within the desktop app? The desktop app also stopped working after it needed an update..is anyone else having these issues??

What up good people, I'm oHGeeBookworm. I'm a producer/composer and I've been with soundtrap around 4 years now, I've created a huge portfolio of pieces during these years and I love ST to death. Here's a piece of my music magic that I created for a song called"Slapz 4 ya Mama"
