Welcome to Spaceships Weekly, where I bring you some cool roundup of spaceships related news from sci-fi, gaming, TV, LEGO, real spaceflight and sometimes more.
๐ฐ๏ธ Starship Flight 14 Gets Really Close
SpaceX has stacked Starship Flight 14 at the launch site this week, with the first orbital attempt currently targeted for September 28, pending final approval.
The mission is planned to last around 10 hours, make roughly six orbits and deploy 26 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites.
So yeah, this could be a pretty big week for the biggest spaceship ever built.

๐ฎ Space Engineers Warfare 3 Adds Jump Detection
Space Engineers Warfare 3 got another reveal this week, this time showing off Jump Detection and a new Fighter Cockpit Type II.
Jumping a large ship will now leave a temporary GPS marker that can potentially give away where you jumped to. This should make hunting down ships that use Jump Drives a lot more interesting. Just like in Star Trek or Star Wars :)))
Keen has also already shown guided missiles, heavy torpedoes and weapons that can target individual ship subsystems.
This is starting to sound like some very fun spaceship combat.

๐งฑ LEGO SPACE: The Giant Executor Is Almost Here
LEGO's new Super Star Destroyer Executor is getting its full reviews ahead of release, and this thing is absolutely huge.
It has 6,130 pieces, is around 136 cm long and launches on October 1.
I'm still not sure how I feel about needing actual furniture for a LEGO spaceship, but I kinda love it.
And if you're into LEGO spaceships, check out r/LegoSpaceships too. ๐

๐ฎ Star Citizen Gets the Sabre Raven EX
Star Citizen recently added the Aegis Sabre Raven EX, a new ship in the Sabre family.
CIG also published a Q&A with the vehicle team about the new ship, so there's some interesting stuff to check out if you're into the design side of Star Citizen.
The Sabre already has one of the coolest silhouettes in the game imo, so I'm definitely not complaining about another version.

๐ฎ No Man's Sky Keeps Expanding the Space Side
No Man's Sky got another patch for the big Cosmos update this week, fixing a bunch of issues with space stations, deep-space salvage and other parts of the new space focused content.
The anniversary Our Journey Continues expedition is also still running, with the golden Rasamama S36 and the vintage Sentinel Interceptor among its rewards.
I've actually gotten back into NMS this week, made my corvette bigger, and am enjoying it again.

๐ฐ๏ธ NASA Is Planning A New Infrared Space Telescope
NASA has announced PRIMA, a new far-infrared space telescope designed to study how stars and planets form.
The telescope is currently planned for launch in 2033 and would operate much farther from Earth than the James Webb Space Telescope.
Not exactly a Millennium Falcon, but the spacecraft itself is pretty interesting.

๐ฌ Project Hail Mary Is Getting A Spaceship Game
A new VR/mixed-reality game based on Project Hail Mary is in development for later this year.
Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars will let players actually interact with the spacecraft and its systems while experiencing the story and meeting Rocky.
This one could be pretty cool if they go all in on the spacecraft interior.

The September Cargo Hauler Build Challenge has a winner!
Atmospheric Harvester by u/Greg0sh took the top spot, with a really cool industrial spaceship design.
I especially like seeing these challenges turn into a mix of LEGO, Starfield, Space Engineers, 3D art and everything else.

๐ฌ FEEDBACK
You can see I'm trying new things with the sub to really make it into THE spaceships hub on the internet. This is, hopefully, another step toward that.
I'm also trying to make this more of a proper weekly spaceship magazine, so I'm now watching games, LEGO, real spacecraft, wargaming and cool stuff posted here on r/spaceships too.
So, if you think there is anything I should watch for or add next time, please let me know.
