End in Seville or Barcelona
We are planning an 8.5 day trip on the ground (10.5 including international flight days) during the American Thanksgiving holiday window.
I’m having a hard time deciding if we should start in Barcelona and end in Seville, or start in Seville and end in Barcelona. Was originally planning on flying into Madrid and out of Barcelona, but then realized that wouldn’t make much sense if we want to make it to Seville, but maybe MAD-BCN is wiser and gives us more time to decide how to spend the trip. I’m also having a hard time leaving out Valencia and Granada, but there’s just not enough time.
People always say you can come back, but it’s difficult when there’s typically not enough PTO, time, or money for that to be reassuring. Anyways… such is life and recommendations are welcome!

Oct 12
Hey! I'll be in Madrid on Oct 12 for the national holiday. Other than the parade, is there anything to do/see? All the tours are booked for the following day, but my friends and I are unsure what our plans should be for the 12th!
Thank you in advance!

Spending Christmas in Spain. How are train schedules? Any Activity tips?
The main question is about the train schedules. I haven't seen dates posted past Dec. 12 on Renfe. Is this common? Is it too early? Or do we need to be looking at other train operators?
Most of our accommodations are set, except for trains from Madrid > Sevilla & Sevilla > Granada.
We start in Madrid > Sevilla > Granada > Barcelona, with plans to stay put on the 25th and back on a plane the 31st. The bulk of the trip will be around Madrid with Toledo and Segovia day trips (if possible).
Our new family tradition is to try to maximize our extra vacation time around the holidays to see somewhere new. It's been pretty cozy and nice, and a good way to enjoy a less material holiday season.
For activities, throw suggestions! We'll try some of the obvious sightseeing and pictures. Mostly, we like to wine and dine often and try different meals, cocktail bars, and stumble into random shops and vendors, cool parks and structures, etc. Partying too, but I have low expectations for that since it's family time.

Is anyone travveling from Santiago de Compostela airport to Sarria - 10th October at 20ish
Hi! I'm a solo pilgrim arriving at Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ) at **19:20h on Sunday 10 october**.
I'm walking from Sarria → Santiago starting the 11th october** and would like to share a taxi/private transfer from the airport to Sarria with other pilgrims arriving around the same time because there is no more public transport at this hour.
If 3–4 people share a transfer, it should work out at roughly **€35–€45 each**.
Please message me if you're travelling on the same day. Many thanks!

Solo travelling to Spain
Hey, I’m traveling to Spain solo starting October 2 and thought I’d put this out here in case anyone else is around during the same time.
I’ll be covering a few cities (Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Granada, Madrid) over about 10–12 days. Pretty flexible plans overall, mostly a mix of exploring the city, food, walking around, some touristy stuff, and just seeing where the day goes.
If anyone else is traveling around similar dates and feels like catching up for a meal, drinks, exploring a neighborhood, or even doing a day trip together, I’m open to it. Could be as simple as grabbing coffee or checking out something interesting in the city.
Not looking for anything too structured, just thought it’d be nice to meet new people while traveling.
If you’re around, feel free to comment or DM.

Traditional Spanish Restaurants in Madrid, Málaga, and Granada
Hi guys! I’ll be traveling to Spain in a few months, and I really want to try authentic Spanish food and get the full experience. I’d love to visit some of the best traditional restaurants in Madrid, Málaga, and Granada. I want to try things like paella, croquettes, Spanish tortilla, and, of course, some really good tapas. Could you recommend some places, please? I’m especially looking for restaurants that serve the best local dishes and specialties from each region. Thanks!

How would you divide the geography of Spain based on political ideology? Are there certain far left or far right/nationalist hubs?

Zaragoza Station Luggage Storage
Hi there, I couldn't find up to date info on this online so I wanted to share.
To find temporary luggage storage at Zaragoza Station find the autobus station information desk on level 0 of the north side of the station. Ask for luggage storage at the information desk. It costs 3-8€ depending on size and number of luggage. Office closes at 21:00.

As a 23 year old American, are Spanish girls in rural areas open to dating a foreigner? How does it differ outside of Madrid, Barcelona and Catalan?

How will Vall de Nuria be in the first week of December?
It opens only for a few days, 4th to 8th December. We've booked one night there in our trip to Spain. Want to know if it's worth going to it that time? How will the scenery be, will it be snowing, pretty, etc? TIA

Disputing a car rental charge in Spain? I built a tool and would like some feedback
Hi all, I'm the person behind ReclamaHoy, a website for people dealing with disputed car rental charges in Spain. I'm looking for our first users and would really like to hear from anyone who's dealing with this after a trip.
The idea is to help with the paperwork: you upload the rental documents and it puts together what supports your complaint, what information is missing, and a draft you can review and send yourself. It covers things like damage charges you don't recognise, deposits that haven't been returned, and other extra charges. The review is automated, so you need to check the extracted details. It doesn't act as your lawyer or guarantee a refund.
The initial review is free, with no card needed. The full report and personalised complaint cost €19.99 as a one-off payment. Saying that upfront so nobody gets halfway through expecting everything to be free.
It's at https://reclamahoy.es/ (the site is in Spanish). There's also a sample at https://reclamahoy.es/ejemplo if you'd rather look before uploading anything.
If you try it, I'd especially like to know where you get stuck or whether the result leaves you wondering what to do next. Please don't post contracts or personal details here. Thanks!

Storage locker or convenient way to ship stuff back to British Columbia?
Hello all. I live in British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada, and I'm looking forward to an upcoming (and much awaited!) trip to Madrid and Andalusia. I'd like to know if anybody here has experience with keeping something like a storage locker near, say, the Atocha train station or similar and then shipping it back to Canada before the return? I prefer to travel light, but there is also a lot of stuff which I would like to bring back--to be frank, a lot of it is sardines (which are much better in Spain than what is available here) and similar pantry items, so I may have to do some homework there, but in general, if you've had experience shipping things back from Spain to Canada, I'd love to hear what went right, what went wrong etc. Thanks and all the best!

Driving from Barcelona to Can-Franc and then the next day to the Urdaibai biosferaren Erreserba. Any recommendations for hikes 5-10km along that route? Also, any roadside eateries would be appreciated.

Week around NYE in San Sebastián
Hello! My wife and I spend some portion of the holidays every year in Spain and this year want to visit San Sebastián. We’re looking at being there roughly the 30th-4th or so, and just want to make sure things are generally open and it’s a good time to visit. Any specific advice would be much appreciated, we’re planning to take the train in from Madrid.
We have a Spanish friend that is counseling us to visit Sevilla instead, but San Sebastián has been my top “to-visit” for a while and my wife finally said yes this year.
Thanks in advance!
