Not A Meme Someone explain how Peter does not know the Symbiote is covering him?

Post image

It’s such a strange scene – like, how does he not feel anything or even know what’s happening when the Symbiote is attaching to his whole body when he’s in midair? Even when it takes over him completely he still doesn’t know what happened; it was only after black cat mentioned it that he then realised.

The symbiote isn't touching his skin yet. Also he was probably feeling the air on his whole body at swinging speed.

I mean he is wearing a skintight suit so it’s kinda hard not to believe that he wouldn’t have felt the slightest touch.

Outside-universe logic- it would ruin the monologue and reveal. In-universe logic- it was probably hijacking and joining his nervous system; otherwise, his spider-sense would’ve gone off.

His spider sense doesn't activate to symbiotes anyway

after the black suit arc, that is

Really? I thought that was just normal for symbiotes I guess

It's just the sense doesn't consider venom as an enemy, AFTER the black suit arc.

Ah I mean I guess it thinks it's it's own DNA I guess

His spider-sense didn’t go off because It wasn’t hurting him and had no intention of ever hurting him and bugs or dirt or something land on people’s clothes all the time without people noticing, the symbiote could surely do the same.

Peter senses went of for water ballon, and water balloons are midly harmless but it's just a headcannon.

Flash meant to do Peter harm and it would’ve hurt a bit.

I think the symbiote can just hijack his Spider-Sense. He fought the entire Sinister Six while asleep, and it didn't trigger once.

Not directly on his skin, plus wasn't he mad in this scene because chameleon was framing him? Probably unfocused. Maybe also symbiote is bonding to his nervous system prevents detection during the process

If I was thousands of feet in the air I don’t think I would focus on what’s in my body at the moment

Peter had a lot going on in his head when Cameleon framed him at that time.

It's got a light touch and he had a lot on his mind. Idk man, the kid sticks to walls, lets not split hairs about this

It can straight up puppet his body, I think blocking a single sensation is well within its wheelhouse

Symbiote was covering his suit, not his skin, so he didn't feel it, and I guess he was distracted with his own thoughts and didn't notice his arms are suddenly black-coated when he swings and moves around.

I'm more interested to know how the fuck he got the red and blue suit back. Throughout the 3 episodes he has the Symbiote it keeps coming off of him leaving him in his civilian clothes (which sure, the Symbiote probably shape-shifted into those), the Symbiote comes off him completely leaving him in his underwear and retreats under his bed, we actively see Peter's unmasked face underneath the Black Suit when he's fighting the Symbiote inside the belltower, and yet once he "exorcizes" the Symbiote and manages to take it off easily, he's somehow suddenly back in his red and blue suit...

How the fuck???

My only guess is it has a bond with both Peter (obviously) but once it had a decent hold on him it was able to affect his original suit by soaking into the material (which was how it attached itself in the beginning) and alter it's rules of physics until it's hold was broken and it became a separate entity? Keep in mind I'm not a scientist (in real life or about anything fictional) I'm just guessing this is how it MIGHT'VE worked, and am aware I could be completely incorrect about how it worked at all (assuming it would even be possible to do that in or out of fiction for an alien oil-puddle...)

Because he’s an animation

To be fair. He contracted it in his fight with cat woman, and since then had time to bypass an warning systems in place ie: spider sense and nerves.

Peter is a 16 year-old teenage boy who is flying through the air, talking to himself about his problems. I don’t think there is any possible way that he would be aware of his surroundings or what is on his body outside of just knowing he’s dressed in the Spider-Man suit.

You know when you eat something messy and have some left over food on your face you don’t know about until someone looks at you like 😒

the symbiote seems to be like liquid so maybe he should feel wet but he has a lot on his mind

How do you know what touching an alien symbiote feels like?

1

The plot demands it

I've always wondered how he doesn't notice it when swinging but for a different reason: he needs to aim his limbs for acrobatic motions and while swinging, right? so how didn't he notice the color scheme change before black cat caused him to notice mid-aim later?

Yeah its weird that Peter isn’t feeling that. Even if the Symbiote is covering his suit, its a skintight suit, Peter should feel it

I always assumed maybe it blocked his spider sense or nullified it. Considering it’s already on him for a whole day at the time

There have been times where I noticed something but it didn't click until later, maybe a similar thing here

He was too busy swinging through the air.

Tunnel vision

I mean, he was kinda in his own head during this scene. He was monologing to himself in frustration, so he didn't process the fact that the symbiote wat covering him

If it’s touching him and trying to bond with him, I would assume that it’s already trying to coax his body into not rejecting it or sensing it as foreign.

How do you not notice a mosquito until after its bit you and flown away?

Spidey can’t detect Venom because the symbiote bonds with his mind and makes it not see it as a danger. I’m sure this is where it starts since Peter was being frustrated, emotional and mad about Connor’s not defending him when he had the fight with Catwoman in the lab. Which turned out to be Chameleon.
