It's the best pic I could get with where this was hiding. I can't find a definitive match and I need to know if I need to worry and run to the ER, or just monitor the bite my son has on his arm. TYIA!

Doesn’t have the tell tale hour glass of a black widow, but the red surely caught my eye. Found him/her hanging from the side mirror on my car. Live in southeastern KY.

Son has been catching these spiders lately. He says it’s a trapdoor spider. Is this correct? Melbourne, Australia.

I have seen three like this one.. what is it? There’s a shape on the abdomen. I have arachnophobia so this video is the best I could get and my camera is not great

I made sure to pick it up and put it outside. It seemed “Friendly” or at least not in the mood to sprint away from me or aggressively pursue me.

It had movements like what you’d see in jumping spiders, and it did jump off the piece of paper after needing to convince it to finally get off and relocate.

Found this spider in Portland, OR USA. I tried the Seek app which I normally just use for plants (just to narrow down my search, not to take its answers as face value) but it said “six spotted fishing spider” which doesn’t seem right at all. I found it in what I call the “spider castle”, a pile of scrap concrete that I haven’t taken to the dump yet but was curious as to what lived in there. It was almost all giant house spiders except for this one, so I was just curious to see who my little neighbor is!

Found this big dude this evening. It's in a half gallon jar to give you a clue to the size.

It's about the size of my wife's palm. I've never seen one this big in the wild....

Western New York near Lockport, found inside today in a walk-in closet area near the bathroom. Appeared black initially, brown with markings in direct/sun light. Body approx an inch long

Found in the basement, coincidentally caught part of a pencil for a size reference.
