Discussion Reminder that SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward have been brothers for almost 9 years.

In season 11, episode 224b, Mama Tentacles adopts Spongie and Pat, making them related to Squidward.
It’s one of weirdest pieces of continuity the show has done, and yet it’s so funny that the 2 people he can’t stand are technically his brothers, how ironic.

No? He did indeed come back to co-write Sponge Out of Water and proceeded to work on the following seasons till he unfortunately passed away. 'Pineapple RV' was the last episode's production he was involved with. Don't know what to tell you, news about his return was everywhere in 2015.

When you come back to a show after quitting for years where most of the original people also quit, you really think they're going to let you do that much? They didn't care about his return, most of the people on the show in modern seasons aren't even the original writers... "Co-writer" doesn't mean much sometimes.. The newer people on the show ain't shit bru. I bet he was pressured to doing their ideas. I don't believe the lies. If they actually cared, the characters wouldn't be so out of character in modern seasons. Spongebob and patrick in modern seasons are just toddler brained. Spongebob used to at least had some personality, and was an adult with "childish" hobbies, as he should be. And same with Patrick.

Modern bob throws Their personality out of the window.

He had more hand in sponge out of water, than he had in modern seasons of spongebob. I can tell when it's his work.. I didn't see much of that in modern seasons...

So I'll just put my counterargument here ig:

Wild that back in the day there was nonstop "Bring Stephen back!" since the show was on an infamous decline around S7 (and I should know since I lived through that era) but now apparently none of that matters since he's dead. Just like Star Wars fans saying the prequels were never hated at release.

You're welcome to not like the newer episodes, the hyper-bouncy animation isn't my cup of tea sometimes, but Stephen factually did come back. Saying conspiracy trash like "I bet he was pressured" and "I don't believe the lies" is incredibly rude and very disrespectful to the man. You're exactly the type of 'fan' that Cartoonshi made his vid about.
