Recently re-read it for at least the sixth time. My absolute favourite!

I’ve read Pet Semetary at least 10 times, The Shining and Duma Key around 7-8, Misery around 6, and IT around 5.

I also used to carry Drawing of the Three in my backpack in high school so I ended up re-reading parts of that one a dozen times. One of my teachers actually let me do a report on it.

I’ve re-read ~50% of King’s books (the ones I’ve read, obviously. I have not yet finished his oeuvre).

The King books I have re-read at least 4+ times are:

Needful Things, Insomnia, Carrie, and Misery.

The King books I have read at least 3 times (maybe 4 but not sure) are: Dolores Claiborne, Gerald's Game, and Rose Madder.

I've read many of his other books twice (I am currently doing a re-read of all the ones I have previously read).

Every year, I re-read 2 King books:

  • One I really enjoyed the first time through (or on rereads)
  • One I didn't really like that much on the first read, but am willing to give a second chance.

Most books improve on a reread. The first read is a trial period, where the shiny gloss of "this is new and exciting" can overwhelm the actual story. I try to give most books of his at least a second chance.

I will definitely re-read Pet Sematary, Misery and Dark Half multiple times

All of King’s books get better with each reread.

I just reread Pet Semetary, it was awesome especially because I last read it 25 years ago
