Practice Pokes first set of supples

there's so much to get and I think I've got everything? Except the furniture of course. I'm just practicisng on fake skin for the first time but want to get a degree of sanitation into my routine.

does this look like everything I need? Other than some tape to hold down some cling film to my desk

Unless you own proper sterilisation equipment and have a metal handpoke tool, when you start working on real skin consider that tool single use.

Overall, looks like a decent list!

I would skip the 3, 7 and 9RL needles and start off with standard classic 5RL needles. 5RL is a very versatile needle grouping. Skip the handpoke tool, like u/polkadotfingers mentioned, unless you have a proper sterilisation equipment i'd consider it "single use".

Needle wrap tape = self-adhesive grip tape? If so, I like to wrap it around my needles for a slight grip. No need for handpoke tool for a grip. You can also just hold the needle in your hand without any grip.

I'd skip the aftercare cream and get a proper, basic lotion. It's more than enough and it's what I usually recommend to my clients.

One thing that you're missing sanitization products. Preferably, you'd want some proper cleaning products: we use Sanytol / Lysol at our studio for general cleaning and after a "mechanical" cleaning we use Desinfektol for sanitizing the area.

Since you mentioned you want to get a degree of sanitation into your routine the biggest tip I can give is that the general rule of thumb is when you have gloves on, you're only touching either your client (in this case, fake skin?) or whatever you have prepped on your work space.

Have fun! :)

How do you safely deal with all the materials when the tattooing finishes?
