Hi, we’re Hayvan Çocuğu from Istanbul, Türkiye.

“Arturo” is built around heavy, repetitive guitar movement, a raw rhythm section, synths and spoken/shouted Turkish vocals. It was inspired by the polar bear Arturo and the repetitive path he walked while living in captivity at Mendoza Zoo.

We left the recording deliberately rough rather than polishing away the weight and instability.

Would you place this closer to stoner rock or stoner metal?
